Wendy Thomas, Head of Library Services, will lead a tour of The Women's Library and give you a flavour of the variety of our fascinating collections. You will then be free to visit our current exhibition, Cooks and Campaigners, in the Exhibition Hall. Drinks will also be available.
The Women's Library is a new cultural centre, housing the most extensive collection of women's history in the UK. As well as the Reading Room there is a lively exhibition and events programme, and the Wash Houses Cafi. Whether you want to study, browse, or just drop in, there is something to discover there. Located on the site of the old wash house, The Women's Library continues to provide a
valuable resource of significance especially to women in the area.
