ManchesterYou probably don't need us to tell you about Manchester, one of the UK's most cosmopolitan cities. Lively bars, restaurants, excellent galleries and museums, music venues and theatres such as the Exchange and shopping. Then there's Chinatown, just a short stroll from where you'll be staying, or The Lowry - a fantastic new arts centre in a breathtaking building. Travel to the city is easy. Manchester is well served by motorway and rail links. The UmbrelLA conference venue is only 300 metres from Piccadilly railway station, which has a shuttle service from the airport only nine miles away. Dining in Chinatown or at the Lowry Centre are two of your Friday night social options (see the Registration form). |
